I love experimenting with different fruit and herbal tea combinations. This blackberry lemon tea turned out especially delicious, and it’s full of Vitamin C which is perfect for going into the autumn season soon.
If it’s still too hot for tea in your part of the world, you can easily turn this into a refreshing cold drink by adding ice cubes and extra lemon slices. Enjoy!
And here is my simple tea recipe for August:
Blackberry and Lemon Tea (hot or cold)
- a handful of fresh blackberries
- 1 tsp honey (or more if you like)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Lemon slices
- A few fresh blackberry leaves (optional)
Instructions: Pour about 500 ml of boiling water over all the ingredients and steep them for 10 min.
For hot tea: Pour the blackberry and lemon tea into cups. Garnish with lemon slices, and additional blackberry leaves if desired.
For iced tea: Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then chill it in the refrigerator. Serve over ice, garnishing with lemon slices and a few fresh blackberries.
Another favourite blackberry recipe is this plant based breakfast oat bake.
