Episode 15
This morning, my 12 year old son helped me to record a video. I created a mini booklet about self-care that you can download and print out, and then cut and glue together to make a little booklet out of it.
It’s a 14 day self-care booklet.
I wanted to create something mini like this because I like small things. And also I have this 30 day self-care planner on my blog for sale.
I just wanted to create a smaller version of it, a really small mini one for myself. So I have less to print out.
And I can still keep track of some of my self-care habits, like my daily walk and drinking water first thing in the morning and filling up my bottle.
Just remembering to drink water and having a stretch or yoga in the morning, doing a meditation. All these different things. Eating greens really helps me as well with my energy levels.
So I was basically just creating this for myself again, but I’m also offering it on the blog for anyone who wants to try and use it.
It was fun to create this little mini version of it. Tomorrow I’m going to start using it for the next two weeks.
If you want to join me and you want to get the same one, you can go to my blog and get the PDF. So give it a try.
If this is all new to you and you haven’t really used any self-care habits like this, then it might be better to go in small steps and just choose a few of those things, not all of them at the same time.
I have been using them now for a while, and they they are all the self-care habits that make me feel good.
I know if I keep doing them on a regular basis, I just feel so much better and more energetic and happier.
And I don’t know, it just fills up my cup.
I usually do a lot of them in the morning before everyone wakes up or sometimes if I’m a bit late getting up, I do them just as soon as everyone is gone, first thing before I start working.
Or sometimes, I feel like spreading them out throughout the day. And I just keep referring to my checklist and see, is there something else I could do now?
And it’s never pressure. I would never do this and make myself feel guilty for not following my plan because that’s not what it’s for.
The reason why I have these checklists or self-care planners or anything like this is because I know that these habits make me feel good, they help me, and they’re just to remind me.
But I’m always always allowed to say no, I don’t want to do this right now. I don’t want to do this today. And I do sometimes do that. So I’m not rigid at all. I don’t like that. It’s very open and flexible.
So, yeah but you have to find out what works for you.
For some people, it’s good to have checklists and other people hate them. You have to find out what works for you.
But making time for yourself and actually filling up your cup and just being really nice to yourself in whichever way works for you is so important.
I think it makes all the difference to your day, to your life, to everything.
If you want to be there for other people, either if you have a business or if you have a family (or both) and and you want to be there for other people, it’s just essential that this part has to come first, that you have to come first.
